Scope:
This article provides an overview of current practice and future directions for computer science undergraduate curriculum in Australasia and South East Asia. We start with an overview of curriculum requirements and the higher education context in each country, outlining the positioning of computer science undergraduate education in each. We then discuss case studies from each country, selected to represent the diversity of education offerings in each country including institutions that are representative of research intensive and technology education focused. We highlight core curriculum assumptions and requirements, exemplars of innovation, as well as differences and similarities across the institutions. We conclude with a discussion of future directions as perceived within each context, with exemplars from each institution.
